Rewrite LiveReports in Version 9.0.0

I am trying to rewrite the LiveReports related to category and attribute. However, it is quite difficult to write SQL statements in the new schema. Is there anyone doing the same thing and has created some nice "VIEWS" in database to make life easier?Thanks a lot.
