Customizing Errors in Livelink

Does anyone know how to modify the error messages in Livelink so that they become more instructive to end users? Most of them don't understand "insufficient permissions" or "invalid object id".

We've edited the error template and handled it there, along with a message to contact the helpdesk and some other instructions.
