Using Search API in VB

I was wondering if anyone might be able to give an example of using the Search API in VB.Essentially I want to be able to run a simple query (basic Altavista style) and to run an advanced query which searches based on Livelink Categories and attributes.However I seem to be having very little luck in doing this...Cheers,Alasdair
