Call an application written in Visual Basic from OScript

Can please anybody help with how to call a function of an application written in VisualBasic from my OScript. What's the process to do so? and also if anybody knows anythig about OLEDispatch type. If anybody knows anything regarding this then I will appreciate if you can please help.

I have researched the same topic and to the best of my knowledge there is no way for OScript to call any external applications (COM, Java beans, CORBA, etc.). Maybe there will be some external interfaces exposed when the Java-based Livelink V10 is released later this year.Depending on your application, you might consider running your VB application as the parent app and making LAPI calls into Livelink to do the Livelink related stuff. That way you can eliminate the OScript altogether.Hope this helps,Paul

Drop-ins are a mechanismto add natuve classes to OScript. I am an OpenText employee..Can I get hold of any documentation explaining "drop-in".and also any info on OLEDispatch object type and ActiveX builtins???
