We have been experiencing problems with LiveLink services and I was wondering if there is way to provide incoming users with a page indicating (if possible) the reason and expected time to be back. I have seen this working in some commercial web sites (Yahoo, HotMail), does somebody have any idea how does it work?To start. There can be several levels of problems. The most dramatic one would be a server crash. I think that one way to approach this would be from DNS, any ideas?Less dramatic. A maintenance stop. Does anyone advertise this on a web page? How?
