Problems with ?-Symbol

When creating an object in Livelink (not using LAPI) with the name '?' it works.But when creating such an object using LAPI the ?-Symbol is lost and the ?-Symbol ist assigned instead.If I set the name to ? in Livelink and get the object through the LAPI '?' is returned.Searching for ? using the LAPI fails, too.It seems to me that the LAPI cannot handle ??!Is it possible to convert such symbols to a different representation?!Any suggestions?
