Changing the User Interface
Paul_Thompson_(geairenadmin_-_(deleted))
After reading some of the comments posted throughout this discussion it seems to be fairly obvious that it is not very easy to customize the user interface of Livelink. But, since it is my job, I would like to find out just how difficult it is. Could you please describe what steps I would need to take in order to change the interface (for example--the colored headers that appears on top of all the pages)? Is it necessary to poke around in the database to change some things? Also, if you could point me to any resources you might have on Oscript I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks,Corey Gooley

Corey,I just went to the Builder class and found it to be very good. It turns out that customizations to the interface are pretty easy...you just have to know where they are in order to change them. Is it possible for you to attend the class?Regards,John Simon

John,Unforunately it is not possible for me to attend the Builder class. since the posting of my first question I have learned a little more on how to manipulate the HTML templates but I am still confused on how everything is connected. Can you (or anybody) explain the differences between the following items, and demonstrate where each is used: 1. WebLingo 2. OScript 3. Database calls 4. Modules 5. XML 6. Java APIs 7. Visual Basic APIs 8. C++ APIsThanks,Corey
