Topic listings should be broken into multiple pages

I am posting this here because this long list is a good example of what I think is an incredible oversight of the LL development team - particularly in a software worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.As the list grows, it becomes increasingly slow to handle since you must wait for the download of the hundreds of topics and responses in a single web page - in a lively discussion, particularly if you want to see the entire list of topics, it becomes nearly impossible to handle as the list grows to hundreds of kilobytes.Why not add the pagination feature? Users would choose the desired number of topics to display per page, and could navigate across the pages. Users could even choose not to paginate - several would prefer this in order to use the browser's "find in page" function to look for a word in the topics.
