Customizing discussion module

Hello,Has anyone tried creating a custom discussion module? I am trying to do it to accomplish the following goals:- Replace 'Post a New Topic' form with a multi-page posting wizard. This wizard will take bunch of new fields (or attributes) and show a preview screen before submit takes place. On submit, a new discussion topic will be created and the addtional fields will be stored in non-livelink SQL table.- Customize ViewDiscussion page to give it different look & feel and display the addtional fields collected in the first step.Am I heading in the right direction? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,Krish
