Hi LL-Developers,I made my first steps with LAPI.My question is: Who can send me Sample-Code?As much as I can get ;-)I have only one small example :-(One sample says more than thousands of words.The language is not important. Hi Howard.Have you considered expanding the LAPI Introduction class to cover more topics, such as categories & attributes, searching, and workflow APIs? I would like to see a LAPI class that is at least two days long with lots of hands on exercises of the full API. The half day class just does not seem to offer enough material to justify the effort. Hello Paul,Yes we did. We have had many discussions internally, and with students, on this and what material we would cover. In fact, the class is now a full day with lots of opportunity for the students to write code in their favourite language (as long as it is either Java, C/C++, or VB) ;-)In our discussions about expanding the course even more (to a 2-day course) we were not sure about the value of 'more of the same' coding as really once you have mastered the concept of value objects there isn't much more to say.If you have some specific concepts that you think would be valuable to cover then we'd be very happy to hear them. You mentioned three areas in your note but perhaps you could tell us what you would like to learn about them as they relate to LAPI.thanks for your input and as always, please keep those cards and letters coming in.Howard

Hi Howard,

The Records Management/Physical Objects API Guide, Revision dated Jan 27, 2009, is a well-formatted document that lists all supported functions and parameters but not a single sample routine (method) in any language that would demonstrate how one should use any of the listed function calls.

Do you have a sample code that shows, for example, how one would create programmatically an entry at level 3 of an RM Classification in LiveLink ECM 9.7.1 and set certain RM metadata values there?
