Livelink and Unix Cron jobs

Sun_Livelink_Admin_(sunmic01admin_-_(deleted))

I have some jobs which are basically SQL queries, which run as cron jobs and then spool the output to a particular folder.The database being queried is an Oracle database. My question is- Is it possible to have these queries reside in Livelink and then run according to some scheduler. Finally have them output the results to a folder in Livelink?Thanks!

That should be possible if you don't mind programming in OScript.

In OScript functions are available to connect to any Oracle database.

You can create your custom agent process to run the queries at certain times. On the configuration page of the agent you could also specify other settings like the folder in which you want to store the results.
