Livereport for displaying folders based on user input
Rashed_Al_Mekhyal_(x-theint01admin_-_(deleted))
HR has a folder which contains all the employees subfolders with more than 300 folders and growing. My question is two parts:1- Should I put the employee number in the general description of the folder?2- If step 1 is correct how can I create a report where the HR can run it and input the employee number and get the target folder as a result?Any thoughts would be helpful. Please note that we run SQL.Thanx

Message from Alex Kowalenko via eLinkIf you want to keep employee number as an attribute of a folder then youcould do this with a category assigned to the folder that has employeenumber as one of its attributes. A report can use this attribute to get thetarget folder. If you were to embed the employee number in the general description yourreport would use the 'like' operator to test for employee number inDTree.DComment (the description column).-alex------Original Message-----From: knowledge@opentext.com [mailto:knowledge@opentext.com]On Behalf OfeLink Discussion: Livelink LiveReports DiscussionSent: Tuesday, November 27, 2001 03:22To: eLink RecipientSubject: Livereport for displaying folders based on user inputLivereport for displaying folders based on user inputPosted by THEINT01Admin on 11/27/2001 03:15 AMHR has a folder which contains all the employees subfolders with more than300 folders and growing.
