problem with dates

i am working in livelink9.0 and my database is oracle 8my problem is in the oscript whenever i try to fetch a date columnit return me in the format , which i don not wantis it possible to fetch a date column in a format dd/mm/yyy if i write this query in oracle it works fine select to_char(sysdate,'dd/mm/yyyy') from dualhow to write this query in oscript to get a result in desired format
