Magnus,

What you need to do is:

- Stop Livelink (/Builder)

- Make a copy of your module on the file system.

- Start the builder

- Select the webModule of your module

- Select 'Create Unix Version' from the Object menu.

- Enter the root directory of your copied module

This wil give you a module with all the name changes of files that are needed and also the translation of the EOL characters to the Unix ones.

Next you have to move it to a Unix server and package it for delivery. Maybe you should test it first.

I found this out after some trial and error myself

But know I got a problem the he can't find the HTML file in bthe Unix version any glue why ?!?!+

I will check case sensivity .....

Problem right now is to find the file search.html I get the same error

as you take awa a file

WebLingo.CacheMap/LookupCompiledFile(FILENOTFOUND): search.html]

I have a requesthandler where I have set fHTMLfile to search.html

the file search is there but it seems that it looks somewhere else for the files

My feeling is that something in my module that tells LL where to look for HTML files is

case sensitive can you give a glue where to look ??

The 2 most common problems with file names between Windows and Unix are:

1. Case sensitivenes. Does any of the other HTML files in your module work? NO: look at the name of the module directory; be sure that the fHTMLPrefix and fPathPrefix are undefined for the webModule object.

2. Use of \ in stead of File.Seperator() to construct directory paths.

Another issue in the land of Builder is how to XLate a feature...

I have looked in the SDK training manual and the online help but havn't seen who to add a

e.g a feature called .TestString and have an Xlate as the value...

The only Workaround I have found is to use a 1 Setup script ...

Any better way ??

A small problem I found in customizationsrt Create Unix function is that the XDB doesn't get

small characters...
