Message from Bax Ruud, F.C. via eLinkOfcourse it's possible, the documents in Livelink are accessed throughhyperlinks also. Just copy the hyperlink and insert it in the document.I don't know whether it's possible to have hierarchical excel-sheets likeon NT where you pull data from sheet 1 into sheet 2 live.> -----Oorspronkelijk bericht-----> Van: eLink Discussion: Development Discussion> [SMTP:development@elinkkc.opentext.com]> Verzonden: donderdag 13 juni 2002 7:02> Aan: eLink Recipient> Onderwerp: Linking 2 documents in Livelink> > Linking 2 documents in Livelink> Posted by PATCOM01User2 on 06/13/2002 02:01 AM> > Hi,> I have uploaded two word documents in Livelink.> Is it possible to have a link to one document from the other document.> Just like we have normal hyperlinks in word documents.> > [To reply to this thread, use your normal e-mail reply function.]> > ============================================================> > Discussion: Development Discussion>

Step 1:Open the Microsoft Office(Word Document) from livelink using the download/fetch option of livelink).I am ssuming now the document is sitting open in word and it will taake your typing.Step2:Go to livelink where the document you wanted to link is sitting.Instead of opening it go to the functions button of the document->go to properties > and hit general and cick the last pick.Screen shot includedStep3:Now go back to the oroginal document in Step 1 and find your spot to paste it in and say paste.Step4:Now save the document locally as in your computer and perform a Add Version of the document. This may be automatic depending on how you open up the document in your livelink. In any case the original document in livelink better have a new version that has your new link.
