Can't search document added by LAPI
ISD_HIT
The documents added by Java LAPI, either by AddDocument() or CreateVersion(), are not searchable. Is there anyone who knows how to make the added documents searchable?Thank you very much.HK

We had a problem like this, that we believed had to do with the timing of the search indexing. The indexing (for certainly valid reasons) does not index each document as it is added, but works periodically to index newly added Documents. We hacked around this feature by performing our searches directly against the DTree table in the Livelink database.Other ways to improve this feature are to reconfigure the Enterprise Index Engine (only after consulting with Opentext Technical Support, as recommened on the Configure Advanced Settings For: Enterprise Index Engine HTML page).

Message from chris meyer via eLinkHi,Documents should be searchable once added to Livelink, regardless if theyare added via the web or via lapi. Are you giving Livelink enough time toindex the new document before issuing your search request? chris----- Original Message -----From: "eLink Discussion: LAPI Discussion" To: "eLink Recipient" Sent: Tuesday, August 27, 2002 9:24 AMSubject: Can't search document added by LAPI> Can't search document added by LAPI> Posted by HONGKO012 on 08/27/2002 03:15 AM>> The documents added by Java LAPI, either by AddDocument() orCreateVersion(), are not searchable.
