XDB's porting to Solaris

Hi...I am modifying the existing webdoc module. I added some xlates to webdocUSA.xdb. It is working just fine on Windows. But when I ported the same XDB to Solaris it just would not work. If I use Strings instead of XLATES in my html document it works fine on Solaris.Aren't user modified Xlates supported on Solaris.I also created a new XDB altogether. But that would not work either. Can I have a user created XDB and the already existing livelink XDB in the same folder??Please help!!!!
