Message from Dave Kerrigan via eLinkI think the URLs in Livelink are created as relative URLs. The only time you need the fully qualified URL is for the emails sentout by the notifications system, which is why you are required to enter the full Livelink URL in the admin:notifications settingspage. Can you explain why you need the full URL?RegardsDave Kerrigan-----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Development Discussion[mailto:development@elinkkc.opentext.com]Sent: 19 November 2002 17:44To: eLink RecipientSubject: the full url is get from http // until the end ofthe full url is get from http // until the end ofPosted by HYDQUE01User3 on 11/19/2002 12:41 PMthe full url is get from http:// until the end of[To reply to this thread, use your normal e-mail reply function.]============================================================Topic: function to retrieve full url

String URL = .URL()depends where you are in the code ....but if it is an requesthandler you have it there ...Regardsmagnus@ids.seIf you look into WEBDSP.RequestHandler.URL that is the mother of all rqyou have // Returns the request's SCRIPT_NAME. If a URL fragment is// specified, it is appended to the return value.function String URL( String data = "" ) return .fArgs.SCRIPT_NAME + dataend

Hithanks for help. but i search a object like request to give the data request . for example:my request is
https://gatewayurl/http://serverlivelink/livelink/livelink.gatewayurl
: is the address of the iplanet portal gateway, and I want to access livelink from this gateway ,so the rewriter of this url is not done correctly. Normaly is give me like above, and not this
https://gatewayurl/livelink/livelink
. the goal is to retrieve
https://gatewayurl
string from request and add it in the getdataforcontext.html to rewrite the contexturl of Atlas Applet.Maamar

The protocol and servername can be obtained from the request parameters in Builder. Put a breakpoint on the request and then run it. In the debugger, inspect the inArgs and there should be values you can use to build the URL such as the servername.

Message from Sean M Alderman via eLinkMy apologies if I'm making you rehash what you're asking for help with, but I'm having a difficult time understanding what's going on.You want - Fully qualified URI from a request for usage in weblingo in an HTMLScript? This is so that you can rewrite links on a page to include your Portalgateway?First off, do you need this for every page in Livelink? If so, I wouldsuggest moving your code inside an ospace, and not writing it into everyhtml script. You should be able to build the requesting URI from the parm object inmost request handlers. You'll look for parm.request and grab thefollowing items -SERVER_NAMESCRIPT_NAMEQUERY_STRING>From these you can assemble the complete URI.On Wed, 2002-11-20 at 15:11, eLink Discussion: Development Discussionwrote:> Full URL> Posted by HYDQUE01User3 on 11/20/2002 03:01 PM> > Hi> I use only functions whose exist in the ospace, because builder sdk, I want simply retrieve with the oscript in html page.> .Url return only /livelink/livelink, and int .fArgs record that did not contain a variable that give us the way of the full request in other hand the original or request.> Maamar> > [To reply to this thread, use your normal e-mail reply function.]> > ============================================================> > Topic: function to retrieve full url>
