Error in DAPI.CreateNode()

Hi, I am trying to create a DAPI node using the DAPI.CreateNode() in a folder that exists inside a project. Livelink returns the error message 'Could not create path'. I have logged in as 'Admin' user to rule out any permission problems Can somebody let me know what the problem is?Thanks in advance

Try putting a minus ('-') before de project ID.The projects have 2 areas: one for the subprojects and another one for all the other livelink items. It seems that you are trying to create the new node in the subproject area.The difference between these two "folders" is the ID, for example, if the subproject area has an ID value of 21140, the items area will have an ID value of -21140.Hope this helpsAlvaro

The project has been directly created under the Enterprise Workspace. Moreover while creating the node, I am specifying the DAPINode of the parent (obtained by calling the GetNodeByID() for the folder)

Hi,which objectID did you pass to the function GetnodeByID? The objectID of the project itself or the objectID of the Project Volume? In general you cannot create any other objects under a project node. You must create them under the project volume.In general you should not use the Dapi.functions to create new nodes but the coresponding llNode.functions.Hope this helpsMartin

Under the project node the sub projects are created. All other objects are created under the volume.
