Hello folks,I just tried to find out how I can retrieve information stored in the extendeddata of a ll object inside a xslt file. I am quite new to XSLT and I would appreciate your assistance.Normally, you get info about the node using statements like By the way, is there any guide provided by Open Text where all available XSLT objects / variables for Livelink are listed? As much as I have found out in this Knowledge Center, you can address the Enterprise Workspace etc. using special variable names.ThanxGernot Riegert

Hi,

I know to answer to that question if you want to have access to the extended data of the top node only and if you are using Appearance. In that case you need to specify &extendeddata on the URL.

If you are really going to be serious about creating XSL stylesheets to change the Livelink UI, then you will need the Appearance PSO. Some of the things it give you is:

- extra export options, all of the Livelink UI can be exported as XML data.

- examples of how to use that data in your own stylesheet.

- assignment of skins is don ein Livelink and not in the stylesheet

- Appearance Accelerator to improve th eperformance of skins

Your local GS contact should be able to help you further.

I think the answer to your last question is: have a look at the Livelink DTD.

.In all publications concerning the topic "how do I retrieve data from XML outputs using XSLT" Open Text does only show how common features like name, size etc. can be extracted. In my eyes many users who do customize livelink objects would be eager to learn how they can present the extendeddata data using XSLT.Thank you in advance for your assistance!Gernot

In case want to xml export data for a custom node type, you need to create an orphan from XMLnode in LLIAPI. You specify the fsubtype and implement the write function. See the documentation feature for details.

In case you want to export additional information for an existing node type you need to orphan XMLnodecallback in LLIAPI.
