Best way to create a customized task object

We need a customized task object, with one more field added to standard LL task. I created a new module and copied webnode / llnode from Task ospace. Now I have to keep adding/copying features and objects from Task module to get exactly everyting Task has.Is there a better way that I can copy all stuff Task has and start to add my customization on top of that as if I were modifying the Task itself. Thanks

Have you looked into orphan the task node ?=!?!?/magnus
