SQL.Exec - inconsistent performance

We are running into inconsistent performance of the SQL.EXEC statement. Straigth SQL executed in SQL Plus environment returns results in a split second, while executed via SQL.exec takes 6 sec, and from time to time may hit even 30sec. Are there any settings, connectivity issues or anything that may result in this performance degradation?

Start the SQL logging it so you get a feeliong when it happpens.Appended is something usefull I think in some magic language ;-))
