Access to Folders and subfolders
Dimitri__Vanderheyde_(x-efsbruadmin_-_(deleted))
One of my users has created over 200 folders and subfolders (in his alloted area in the Enterprise Workspace) in which he has also added many documents. He says he has lost track of things and would like to have a report that tells him who has access to which folders and subfolders and the type of access. Any help with such a query would be greatly appreciated.

The main problem with this is how to represent so many data in an easy way.Only think about 200 * maybe 7 ACL entrys per folder, not to mention to break down group entrys to their included users. And the users love to give them all different rights here and there.I have made three reports that show only changes of permission, but if you have many changes you get also really complex results. And with this way you need three reports. One to view changes in the rights and two for added and removed ACL Entrys. The reports are also really complicated with html support and our own link format. But I will attach a demo screen of one of the reports and if you are interested I could provide a purged version of these reports.regards Stefan

Stefan, Thanks a lot!. This will be very helpful. I looked at the GIF file you sent, that looks like what he wants. I already told the user that it's not an easy task so he will understand if I'm not able to do exactly what he wants.

It wasn't that easy to purge it, like I first thought. But now it works and is nearly three times smaller then my original.I have attached the sql statement of my first report of the three reports. The result should mainly look like the screen in my first posting without the images and the links. You can also use the report for projects but it won't run into projects if you start it above the project.no guarantee that the result will be correct in all cases.regards Stefan

I will give this a try.
