Please explain how you created the new node attribute ?!?!To get it in the view you should change the file browseview.html is in the webnode module ...One way is to change the view webnodes to join on a table with the ref_no data....RegardsMagnus S?lg?salgo@ids.se

Category view module from Open Text PS is another way forward ....

Thanks Magnus, would you please provide me with some details about changing browseview.html, any article, document, or your understanding of it. Regarding adding new node attribute:In the administrator page select Administer Additional Node Attributes Then click add node attribute, for more detailes check the article "How do we create System Attributes in Livelink 9.x?" In Livelink 9.0x

it is just a normal oscript file that is changed as all other files in LL.....

I have checked the database and found that LL has added a new field "Ref_No", which is the new Node attribute, to DTree table. When I try to call it in Browseview as the following line: `nodeRec.Ref_No` It shows an error instead of the value: An unknown feature was specified If I called any other attribute, e.g. Name, Size, etc, it shows Properly. Should I make any modification some where else?

The data you can access in browseview.html is the one retrieved using the View webnodesExtend the webview to contain your field and it will dance....Regards from a sunny sweden
Mohammed_Abushmais
Thanks, Now it's dancing.Do you have any idea about making the new column sortable?
Magnus_Salgo_(IDNordicAdmin_(Delete)_2300172)
Add some HTML as done for the other coulms ==> when you click on it you will get an URlSORT=-in the _browesort function the search resulty that is from _browsecontents is sortedAs you have a new field I think you need to override this and have a case statement that does this Or even more dirty is to do this sortimng ijn the browseview.html form

If you are scared of modifying _browsesort as you already have messed around in the browseview.html maybe it is better to "corrupt" it even more Do a small check there if the URL has a sort argument with your magic field and useRecArray(data.Contents,{'themostimportantfield'})to sort the result ....Other cool things is starting using the TD title attribute to tell the user a story when they move the mouse over ...
