Does Livelink 9 support the DS module directory_2_2_1?
Mao_Aimin_(x-shellchadmin_-_(deleted))
We are trying to implement directory 2_2_1 on our Livelink 9 with NTLM and no synchronisation, but failed. Is that because the higher module version?

Hi Mao,
The version of Directory Services you should be running will depend on the version of Livelink you are running. Following are a list of Livelink versions and their corresponding Directory Services versions:
9.0.0.0 2.1.1
9.0.0.1 2.2.0
9.0.0.2 2.2.0
9.1.0.0 2.2.1
9.1.0.1 2.2.1
9.1.0.2 2.2.1
9.1.0.3 2.2.2
Downloads for released versions of Directory Services can be found in the
Livelink Directory Services
folder.
If you continue to have problems after installing the correct version of Directory Services for your Livelink server, please feel free to contact Open Text Customer Support.

I installed DS 2_2_0 in our Livelink 9.0.0.1, and set up 2 ports for different users. But it seemed the DS module took effect on both ports. So I wonder if this version module supports 2 ports setting. Can anybody give advise on it?Thanks in advance!

Hi Mao,
Directory Services 2.2.0 introduced heterogeneous user population support. This means that you can have two sets of user in Livelink, one authenticated externally by the web server, and one authenticated internally by Livelink.
The simplest configuration that will support this involves creating the same virtual directory in two web sites to point to the same Livelink instance. One virtual directory will be configured per the Directory Services Installation and Administrator's Guide, the other per the Livelink First-Time or Upgrade Installation Guides. With Directory Services configured to authenticate users, Livelink will automatically log in users that have authenticated to the web server, and prompt users that have not.
I hope this helps,
