How do I find out return codes?I am getting 107404 from LL_SetObjectAttributesEx and I have absolutely no idea what it means.

If you are receiving an error in your LAPI application, you should have code in place to retrieve the text error messages sent with it. When you get an error, call the LL_SessionStatusError function. It will return several messages, one of which will be a text string explaining the error.

If using Java, call getAPIError,getErrMsg,getStatus,and getStatusMessage instead to retrieve the same values.

Thanks Kevin.It seems sometimesyou get the LL_E_ codes listed in LAPI.BAS and sometimes you get others. I've tried to bundle them both in a VB module.First attempt at a "VB Error Message from lngStatus" module attached.If anyone would like to extend or suggest additions, I'll be happy to post new versions.

Now I know my error means "Category version specified must be the most recent version for this category".But what does that mean!?!?!? ;-)My function tries to inherit the cats and atts from the parent node. Does this error mean that the parent node is an older version of the category? If so, what now?
