Restricting scope of search

Is there a way to restrict the scope of search to a particular area within Livelink? I'm looking at the searchbar file and would like to restrict any results to only one specific area as opposed to the entire database.Is this possible? If so, where exactly do I place the value that I would like to restrict the results to.Thanks

You can create a search slice in the slice folder that restricts the search.
