LAPI_SEARCH error codes

We want to know which are error codes related with livelink searches from end user point of view. We would be specially interested in codes returned by LAPI_SEARCH. For instance, returned code by ApplyQuery function after exceeding TimeToLive parameter is: -2147481632.Where can we obtain this information?Our goal would be to customize these codes in more meaningful messages for end user under our environment.
