Whatexactly are you trying to do? The customview.html is being incorporated intothe weblingo file AFTER all the processing has happened in the OSpace. But ifyou let us know what you need perhaps we can give you an alternative.

i just like to see, if the customview.html is save enought, that even a livelink-specialist is not able to: for example change the permissions of his user with an customview.html to see the whole system.So, if the customview.html does not accept any ospace-commands (to make a database connection and send an database-statement) this is good.

CustomView is part of the presentation layer, so you should be okay. However, the user could link to a LiveReport which could 'connect' to your database, change the cookie which stores the login details or even link to a server side app. written in PERL, PHP etc which could do stuff.How 'secure' do you need to be in this respect ?

Marco,

A customview.html file is not parsed by Livelink. When rendering the webscript file, Livelink checks for the customview.html file. If it exists, Livelink simply streams the file to the output. Therefore, the only dynamic part of a webscript must be client side such as Javascript. Any OScript code in a customview.html will not be processed.

But why (see my topic regarding customization Slide-Show) the slide-show in the webnode/browseview needs a customview.html to be able to show the pictures ??Topic: customization slide-Show:I made a slideshow, that is automaticaly on each page of livelink (webnode/browseview). There it is possible, that the names of the images will be automaticaly read and all jpg and gif will be displayed.my problem is, that the picture is just shown, when on the same page is any !! customview.html (does not mather what is on this customview.html, could also be empty).What might be possible to do, that the pictures will be shown also without the customview.html ???Thanks a lot
