Livelink Group Notifications

We have a module installed which is called 'Group Notifications'. It adds an additional option under the Function menu of items which enables you to set notifications for a whole group, not just for yourself.However, once you set a group to be notified on certain events, there is no way for the individuals who are part of that group to be removed from this group's notification, thus they get spammed with messages as long as they are part of the group or as long as the group is set to receive certain notifications.Is this the way this was meant to be??
