live reports and task lists
OSHA_ICT_team_member_1_(oshauser1_-_(deleted))
Is it a good idea and feasible to use Live report for getting a result which would look like what we usually get via func=Personal.TaskLists but which would be limited to a selected number of task lists ? ...

Message from Olson, Leonard via eLinkYes --you can do this quite easily following this example Create a new LiveReport & insert this SQL code- select DTree.*, (KUAF.LastName || ', ' || KUAF.First Name) as kuafname, decode(DTree.status, 0, 'Pending', 1, 'In Process', 2, 'Issue', 3, 'On Hold') as mystatus from DTree, KUAF where (KUAF.ID=DTree.Assignedto) and DTree.Status IN(0, 1, 2, 3) and DTree.OwnerID IN('95717', '1449193,' '3003327', '4600831', '7732624', '7733817') and %1 order by DateDue Replace the numbers in the DTree.OwnerID IN section with your task list id numbers. Set the report format to LiveReportSet Param %1 to Filter PermissionsSet up Display columns like thisField Column Title You should get a listing of all active, uncompleted tasks from your selected task lists. Completed tasks will not be included. -----Original Message----- From: eLink Discussion: Livelink LiveReports Discussion [mailto:livereportsdiscussion@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: Tue 1/13/2004 10:26 AM To: eLink Recipient Cc: Subject: live reports and task lists

Dear Len, thanks a lot for your solution and reply. Apart the little typing error on "KUAF.First Name" (vs. KUAF.FirstName) I couldn't find out what doesn't work and from what I could guess from your code, I'm not sure this is what I need .... What I need is a table that would show the statut of all tasks by task list for a fixed number of task lists of same category, whoever is the task assignee ... The main idea behind is that we'd like to ask every government of our network (25) to maintain their national workplan on our livelink-based extranet. What they just have to do is to change statut and add items to tasks to inform other members on progress. Based on this framework, we need to have the European overview of national progresses that are shown by task lists, ideally with a *layout* like the one shown by "my task lists". For example, the overview would be called "Summary overview of EU countries progress in Work programme implementation". Every task list would be called "Country x WP 2004 implementation plan". Column associated with a task list would show what is done, what is late, what is in progress etc ... see what I mean ? Depending on how Livelink can help to do that, we'll go for more serious developments or not. Thanks a lot again for any help

It is possible to create a LiveReport that comes close to duplicating the View you have from the Task Lists tab of the Personal Menu. It will pull information only from Task Lists you designate. Create your LiveReport like this:SQL Statement: select DTree.*, (Select Count(Status) from DTree a where Status=0 and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "Pending", (Select Count(Status) from DTree a where Status=1 and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "InProcess", (Select Count(Status) from DTree a where Status=2 and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "Issue", (Select Count(Status) from DTree a where Status=3 and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "OnHold", (Select Count(Status) from DTree a where Status=-1 and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "Completed", (Select Count(Status) from DTree a where Status=-2 and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "Cancelled" from DTree where DTree.DataID IN('95717', '1449193', '3003327, '4600831', '7732624', '7733817') and %1 and %2 order by 2---------------%1 = Filter Task List%2 = Filter Permissions(Note: Replace Data ID#s in the Where clause with the ID#s of your Task Lists)---------------Display Columns Section:Field Column TitlePending PendingInProcess In ProcessIssue IssueOnHold On HoldCompleted CompletedCancelled CancelledReport Format is LiveReportThis will duplicate everything in the Personal.TaskLists view except the Late column --There aren't enough display columns. You could have a Late column by leaving one of the status columns out, such as Cancelled or Issue, and replacing the SQL line with (Select Count(DateDue) from DTree a where DateDue<%3 and Status IN('0', '1', '2', '3') and DTree.DataId=a.OwnerId) as "Late" where %3 = Today-Now
