CGI Hosts field question
Anton_Kejr_(x-sglcuser44b_-_(deleted))
This is from help:Livelink CGI Hosts In the Livelink CGI Hosts field, do not change the default IP address (which represents the local host) unless it is necessary to identify the host(s) running the livelink.exe (Windows NT/2000) or livelink (UNIX) program of this Livelink system. If you type more than one address, use commas as separatorsWhen I try to configure Directory Services for the first time, there is no address in this field. When I try and use the local ip of the server it bombs out on me. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Anton,
This is likely caused by setting the server's IP address in CGIHosts. The default Livelink configuration has CGI requests coming to the server through the localhost IP stack. By setting the server's IP address, you are telling Livelink to reject requests from all other IP's, including localhost (127.0.0.1). Try changing either CGIHosts to 127.0.0.1, or the server parameter in the [general] section of opentext.ini to the server's IP address.
If the problem persists, you may wish to review the Knowledge Base article entitled:
Why do I get a "Server did not respond, or sent a document that contains no data" message after configuring Directory Services?
This article describes how to determine which addresses Livelink is rejecting so that they can be added to CGIHosts.
