We have periods in all our login names and this works fine for us. Did you run the Reset all users passwords after adding back the period? The Password that is used when you have directory services is a hash of the username so when the username changes - the password must be reset as a separate process. If you are using synchronization then you can run the reset passwords for DS users only. If you do not have synchronization you must run this for all users.I hope this helpsStephen Fisher
