Limit in ospaces number??
Allessandro_Isola_(aktiveadmin_-_(deleted))
Is there a limit in the number of ospaces allowed in a single livelink installation? We are experiencing problems in an installation with more than 256 ospaces (and xdbs): the system cores immediately after startup or at the first request. Our system in on HPUX, by the way, does this affect the overall number of ospaces allowed??Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just out of curiosity what do you use all those 256 ospaces to ..... or is it a development system....

Well, it's a development system, in effect, but it's what the production one will be in a couple of months. We actually have lots of customizations (and lots of XDBs, one per ospace; now we are moving them to a single xdb per module,) in a few modules. Our development standard is to have as many different ospaces as possible, since OLLs are binaries and versioning systems don't allow non-exclusive edits on binary files. So, in order to allow many developers to work at the same time on the system, this was our choice...until now.

Hi,I can understand the reason why you have lots of ospaces, but I would advice you to migrate them when they are finished into a limited number of ospaces. You can do this by copying/moving customisations to the new ospace(s).RegardsJohan RaedemaekerAsBuilt Product Manager
