create / use an new table

i would like to get / write data from/to a new table.this table was created with ms sql server enterprise manager(its an new table in the database our livelinkserver uses).im still searching but there seems to be no informations about using new/own tables.it should be possible - but how to do ...any help wanted and neededthx

I willmake two assumptions:

1. You mean to access your new table through code written in the Builder
2. You have created this new table in the Livelink tablespace, that is, Livelink owns the table.

Ifso,then all you need is the handle to Livelink’s tablespace. In a request handlerthis is normally found in

this.fPrgCtx.fDbConnect.fConnectionIn a webnode this is found in parm.prgCtx.fDBConnect.

Use thebuilt-in function CAPI.EXEC to manipulate your table (see the onlinedocumentation).

Ifmysecond assumption above is incorrect you will need to create a connection handleyourself by using CAPI.ALLOCCONECT (also see the online documentation).
