Searching on attributes in Livelink

Anyone out there using Attributes a lot for searching..... I am looking into the concept of moving records with a lot of metadata to Livelink. The requirements are to have * good searching on metadata (maybe XML searching)* good administration of the metadata.....I would like to hear experience from the field of using Livelink for applications with a lot of table and relations and metadata....
