Message from Sean O'Callaghan via eLinkHi if you what to know info about the first level of the enterpriseworkspace then this should work.select subtype, count(Subtype)"Number of Items" from dtree whereparentid = '2000' group by subtypeIf you want to perform the same query to all of the enterprise and it'ssubfolders then that requires a lot more work.Sean -----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Livelink LiveReports Discussion[mailto:livereportsdiscussion@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: 10 September 2004 10:29To: eLink RecipientSubject: Item count by typeItem count by typePosted by OPENUNIVUser2 on 09/10/2004 05:25 AMHi allI was wondering if anyone could help.I would like a report to count the number of items in our enterprisearea of livelink and then a breakdown on the number of items by typee.g. folder, alias, document etc.ThanksDavid.[To reply to this thread, use your normal E-mail reply function.]============================================================Discussion: Livelink LiveReports Discussion

Message from Bhupinder Singh via eLinkWhy not just run a system report using the instructions below? It willcontain a section that has what you are looking for, showing the numberof items of a given type of object system wide, and will appear similarto this:Node Types Info: Name SubType Number of Items ------------------------------------------------- Alias 1 10 Category 131 15 Channel 207 3 CompoundDoc 136 16 Discussion 215 2 Document 144 100 etc.Generating a System Report (Livelink version 8.1.5 onwards)1. Log in as Admin2. Edit the Livelink URL after the part 'livelink.exe' so that it is: ...../livelink.exe?func=admin.sysreport3. After the report is generated, it will display in the browser window. It is also saved as sysreport.txt in the [Livelink install path]/logssubdirectory on the Livelink server.- Bhupinder------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bhupinder Singh, B.Math., B.Ed. You might use the DVersdData table to get the report. I use this simple MSSQL in a report:SELECT FILETYPE, COUNT(*) FROM DVERSDATA GROUP BY FILETYPE ORDER BY COUNT(*) DESCHope it helps!Leon
