I have written my own ASP.NET reports which queries the database directly and am currently in the process of deciding which way is the best to report on the Livelink database... In ASP.NET I can create the branding of a certain company exactly with great flexibility... I would like to know if that can be achieved with Web Reports without being bound to the Livelink look & feel?

Message from Steven Osborn via eLinkHi,WebReports will allow you to take complete control of the look and feelof your report without needing to use XSLT or ASP.NET. You cancompletely exclude the Livelink branding by including the following tagsanywhere in your reportview:[LL_WEBREPORT_EXCLUDEHEADER /][LL_WEBREPORT_EXCLUDEFOOTER /]Whether you exclude the Livelink headers and footers or not, you cancreate any look and feel with straight-forward HTML in the reportviewwhich acts like a template for your report data. You can make yourreport interactive with hyperlinks to other Livelink objects (e.g. toedit Forms, or browse folders). And of course you can brand the reportsusing images as you would in any ordinary web page. One of the key advantages of using WebReports instead of reportingexternally to Livelink, is that your reports can be configured torespect the Livelink permissions and only show results that a usershould have permission to see. Other advantages are that as well as"on-demand" reports, you can choose to store the results of your reportas a new document in Livelink, or email the report to recipients. Youcan also schedule reports to run automatically.By the way, if you have access to it, it's worth taking a look at theon-line help for WebReports. It gives a complete list of all the tagsand how to use them. (CCing WebReports discussion group which has just been created.)Regards,Steve.-----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Livelink LiveReports Discussion[mailto:livereportsdiscussion@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: 17 September 2004 09:05To: eLink RecipientSubject: XSL StylesheetsXSL Stylesheets Posted by ComparexDevelopment (Comparex Africa, Developers) on09/17/2004 04:02 AM In reply to: RE Web Reports & XSL Stylesheets Posted by sosborn (Osborn, Steven) on 09/16/2004 11:41 AM I have written my own ASP.NET reports which queries the databasedirectly and am currently in the process of deciding which way is thebest to report on the Livelink database...
