Encryption of LAPI between LDAP server and Livelink
Gregory_Nolte_(sglcadmin30_-_(deleted))
Hello I was hoping you could shed some light on the following. We have a client that requires us to encrypt the LAPI (Livelink Application Programming Interface) between their LDAP server and their Livelink system running on Solaris. They believe that if someone was able to capture the LAPI that they would be able to see user information. Basically these Lapi requests are sent between the systems for authenticating users on Livelink from an LDAP server.Do you know of how this could be done by any chance? Many Thanks

Message from chris meyer via eLinkHi Andreas,Could you clarify which communication you are concerned about? Livelink only communicates directly with the LDAP server for user synchronization and for LAPI requests made directly to the Livelink server (i.e., not through the web server) when using directory services authentication. LAPI is not the protocol between Livelink and the LDAP server.cheers, chriseLink Discussion: Livelink LiveReports Discussion wrote:>Encryption of LAPI between LDAP server and Livelink>Posted by Classen, Andreas on 09/30/2004 07:10 AM>>Hello >>I was hoping you could shed some light on the following.
