Assigning tasks to multiple users

Hi,I am working on a Livelink workflow based application that has been around for more than 2 years. The application requires a set of tasklists to be created along with each workflow of which each task has 4 owners.(These are not workflow tasks.) The owners for each task can be different and is based on the user input. The early developers solved the problem by creating a group dynamically and assignig the task to the group. Now the number of such temporary groups created by the appliciation has grown to such an extent that these groups account for 25% of all groups in the kuaf table. The organization wants to solve this problem as soon as possible. Has anyone come across such problem before? Is there a solution for this?Mahesh
