Adding a Document to a Workflow as an Attachment using LAPI

We need to add an attachment from the desktop to a workflow using LAPI then start the workflow. Has anyone done this and is there any snippets of code I can get hold of?I am able to start the workflow from a VB macro in the doc but I am confused on how to access the workflow attachment folder to add a document..Chuck
