Switch Roles as Livelink Administrator - not working

Hi, We were testing Livelink 9.2 SP1 with Directory Services v2.2.2. We found that the option 'Switch Roles as Livelink Administrator' does not work after we type in the correct 'Admin' user password. We have tested this on two separate systems and found this to be existing in both the setups. NTLM authentication happens without any issue but we are not able to use the 'Switch Livelink Roles...' option. Livelink does not report any error message but refreshes the screen. Is it a bug with DS 2.2.2? We do not see this issue with Livelink 9.2/DS2.2.2 Our Platform: LL9.2 SP1 & Oracle 9i on Win 2K SP4 Any reply to this topic is appreciated.ThanksKrishna

The ability to switch roles hasbeen removed from authenticated web sites as a security enhancementstarting in Livelink versions 9.2 SP1 and 9.1 SP4. Starting with theseversions if using external authentication Livelink will compare the userlogin to the remote_user and if these do not match then the request willnot be processed. In order to log in as user Admin you must set up a separate web site onthe Livelink server assigning a different port but using the same alias,url and web mapping and using anonymous authentication. If this is asecurity concern to lock this down you can always limit the IP addressthat this web site will accept requests from to be that of the serveritself.
