Is it possible to hide function menu items while objects temporarily reside in a custom container?

Can anyone point me toward the right documentation, OScript or etc? Here?s our issue: We?ve set up a custom container that serves as a document gateway. Our custom module will transparently ?file? the documents in the final/destination container once the user supplies the necessary information. We?d like to do two things to keep the user focused on the task at hand. 1) We?d like to suppress some function menu items (i.e. Add version or Check out) only for documents that reside in custom container. _It?s a local change that we want and not a global change._ 2) We?d also like to add an Info-like menu/items while documents reside our custom container.Thanks.Barbara
