Message from Chris Wagg via eLinkIt sounds like you have most of your ldap parameters correct, but youmay not have identified any users to synchronise. Are you using LDAP orLDAP read-only synchronisation?Whenever you run a synchronisation, I would recommend choosing verboselogging, as this will tell you what users were synchronised.-----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Livelink Directory Services Discussion[mailto:directoryservices@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: Friday, December 10, 2004 3:21 AMTo: eLink RecipientSubject: LDAP Sync ok, but no users in LLLDAP Sync ok, but no users in LLPosted by Balogh, Tibor on 12/10/2004 03:20 AMHI,I just try to set up the LL Directory Service, i selecte LDAP auth, anLDAP sync and configured the other LDAP params. After it i synchronised the users, and LL tells me that evrything is ok,but i think nothing happens. No user in LL database, no user login possilbe? What can i do? I too am having the same prolem as Tibor in that Synchronization seems to be working, but no users are being updated, so any informaiton on this topic would be helpful. I'm using LDAP read-only synchronisation. How do we ensure that we have identified users to syncrhronize? Also do we have to set up any default groups that users will be set up in if we are not using the departmental mappin? Thanks,Edgar.

Message from Chris Wagg via eLinkYour search root identifies where to start looking for users, yoursearch filter will be used to identify which users to synchronise. Theuse of an LDAP browser can be very useful in figuring out a good searchfilter. If you have tried using an LDAP browser and still are unable tosynchronise any users, I would recommend opening a ticket with support. If you do not synchronise groups or use department mappings, all userswill be added to the DefaultGroup.Chris -----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Livelink Directory Services Discussion[mailto:directoryservices@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 5:06 PMTo: eLink RecipientSubject: I too am having the same prolem as Tibor in thatSynchronization seems to be...I too am having the same prolem as Tibor in that Synchronization seemsto be...Posted by EU0014565 on 12/13/2004 05:05 PMI too am having the same prolem as Tibor in that Synchronization seemsto be working, but no users are being updated, so any informaiton onthis topic would be helpful.
