ListObjects on a project do not return sub-projects

We are trying to execute a ListObjects LAPI call. After taking the volume Id and object id transformations for a project type into account, I see some entries in the project container, such as documents and folders. I do NOT see projects within the project. I have set the dtree and query fields of the API to null. The call is in Java.listObjects(projectId, projectiD*-1,null,null,0,llval);
