NTLM - IExplorer prompts for username & Password on server only
Mohammed_Abushmais
Hi everyone,WE are usin LL Directory services 2.3 with Livelink 9.5 and Windows 2003 Server, Livelink is installed now on the domain controller for testing. It's configured to use NTLM Synchronization and NTLM Authentication (Username only) as per the installation guide. The authentication is working fine when anyone connect to livelink through any machine in the domain except the domain controller itself; it always prompt for user name and password!I susbect Explorer settings, but I checked and found that they are semilar to all other machine; the server is defined in the local intranet sites and user authentication is set to automatic logon on Intranet zone .I susbect that there is something related to Windows 2003 Server but I cannot figure it out ( I disabled Enhanced security options)

Message from Chris Wagg via eLinkMy first question would be, what type of login prompt are you getting? Is it a network login prompt or is it a Livelink login prompt?Chris-----Original Message-----From: eLink Discussion: Livelink Directory Services Discussion[mailto:directoryservices@elinkkc.opentext.com] Sent: Monday, February 28, 2005 6:02 AMTo: eLink RecipientSubject: NTLM - IExplorer prompts for username & Password on server onlyNTLM - IExplorer prompts for username & Password on server only Postedby Consultants, Technical on 02/28/2005 05:57 AMHi everyone,WE are usin LL Directory services 2.3 with Livelink 9.5 and Windows 2003Server, Livelink is installed now on the domain controller for testing. It's configured to use NTLM Synchronization and NTLM Authentication(Username only) as per the installation guide. The authentication is working fine when anyone connect to livelinkthrough any machine in the domain except the domain controller itself;it always prompt for user name and password!I susbect Explorer settings, but I checked and found that they aresemilar to all other machine; the server is defined in the localintranet sites and user authentication is set to automatic logon onIntranet zone .I susbect that there is something related to Windows 2003 Server but Icannot figure it out ( I disabled Enhanced security options)[To reply to this thread, use your normal E-mail reply function.]============================================================Discussion: Livelink Directory Services Discussion
