How to have drop down list with values from DB in Livereport.?

I am trying to have a drop down list in Livereport. It should display the values from a tables column. When I select a value and click on a button, the livereport quesry should take the input and genereate the report.How to do this?Pls help.

Thanks a lot Eric for the suggestion,My problem is, the values in the drop down should also come from a database table. So, if i want to write a HTML and have values in the drop down, i need to have a custom module which will call the HTML and populate the drop down. I dont want to have a custom module.What I am looking for is, to some how have a drop down and the values of the drop down should come from database.My thinking is , if i can get the out put of a Livereport query come to the dropdown, so that I can use the values and send them to another livereport.Pls help

If you have Livelink WebForms installed, you could lookup from a db and then populate a drop down list and if you know some java script it may be possible to take the selected value from the dropdown and populate a URL???

If you have the WebReports module installed you can use the sub-WebReport functionality in 3.x to build an unlimited number of dropdowns, each using their own SQL statement. This can be achieved in a couple of lines and requires no customisation. The attached screenshot shows a WebReport building dropdowns which allow filter criteria to be selected by the user before they are passed to another WebReports as parameters. Thanks,Lee.
