Problem with LAPI_BASE.DLL

I used Windows Installer to create an .MSI installation executeable. The install goes just fine, but, when the application is run I get an error that says "File not found: lapi_base.dll". The application works fine if I run it from the VB6 IDE.I assume this has something to do with dependencies or is otherwise .DLL related but I'm stumped.

Make sure that the LAPI_Base.dll is in either your program directory or on the system32 directory and that your global environment variable PATH is set to one (or both) of these directories.

I have the same error on two machines out of many hundreds. I tried the path and running the app from within the same folder as the LAPI dlls, no joy.Anyone else seen this/have a solution?FYI one machine is running Windows 2007 + Offie 2007, the other is Windows XP. In theory both up to date OS-wise

I should have kept reading the discussion, microsoft dlls were referred to. I used depends.exe to see what was required bby this dll. The issue for me was missing MSVCP71.DLL and MSVCR71.DLL files. FYI I was using LL 9.5.0.1
