Workflow Reports

I need to write a report that shows workflow task audit information. The trick is this report should list all current workflow steps and the date the previous step was completed.Is there a way to determine the relationship between the current and previous step? My only thought was to compare the datedone and dateready steps.Any suggestions here would be great!
