Object Importer Problem With Multiple Attribute Sets
Sandra_Popovic-Ovcina_(intato017_-_(deleted))
Hi there!I was not sure where to post this message, so I chose the development discussion. Here is our problem. We are using Livelink 9.2 SP1 with Object Importer 3.1.1We have a Standard File Code category which has a multiple row set attribute called Distribution List (please refer to the attached screenshot of the category). Looks like Object Importer has problems dealing with multiple occurrences of the same attribute set. Either it is not supported, or I did not follow a proper syntax. Please check attached control files. Here is what I did:1. First I created a test file using ERMS20051108_01.xml2. Then I tried to update it using ERMS20051108_03_notworked.xmlIt did not work, and the log file, and ERMS20051108_03_unprocessed.xml and ERMS20051108_03_uncreated.xml were empty.3. So I gradually started updating the category (ERMS20051108_05.xml, ERMS20051108_08.xml and ERMS20051108_09.xml), which worked.4. Finally I tried ERMS20051108_10.xml with multiple additions to Distribution list set attribute. It crashed again producing empty log file.Thank you if you've followed me all the way through...Can anyone help? Or advise whom to ask help from?Kindest regards,Sandra

With a kind help of Arne J. Schmid from German Open Text Support, the problem has been solved - there was a typo in XML control files. Please see the message below for details:-------------------------------------------------------------Hello Sandra,i saw 2 misstypes in the xml files which didn?t work.In both files where a lineKNIAZEVVthis should beKNIAZEVV(see the blank between "attribute" and "name")let me know if this was the problem!Thank you for the good explanation in your discussion entry. The place for your discussion was good also "Livelink XML and XSLT Discussion" would have been a good place...with best regards,Arne J. Schmid
